ConQuesT 52 is pleased to welcome Becky Chambers as one of our Author Guests of Honor.
Becky Chambers is best known for her Hugo Award-winning Wayfarers series, which currently includes her April 2021 release of the fourth and final installment The Galaxy, and the Ground Within (2021), as well as The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (2015), A Closed and Common Orbit (2016), and Record of a Spaceborn Few (2018). Also planned for 2021 is A Psalm for the Wild-Built, the first of her Monk and Robot novellas.
Her books have also been nominated for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Locus Award, and the Women’s Prize for Fiction, among others. One of her most recent works is a standalone novella, To Be Taught, If Fortunate.
Based in Northern California, Becky has a background in performing arts and grew up in a family heavily involved in space science. She spends her free time playing video and tabletop games, keeping bees, and looking through her telescope. Having hopped around the world a bit, she’s now back in her home state, where she lives with her wife. She hopes to see Earth from orbit one day.
