ConQuesT 53 is pleased to announce Rebecca Campbell, award-winning Canadian writer of weird ghost stories and climate change fiction, has been added as an Author Guest of Honor.
On her website, Campbell says this about herself and her writing: “I write weird stories about climate change and ghosts, mostly, though aliens and parasites sometimes show up, too, and I will always love archives and libraries.”
Campbell won the Sunburst Award for Excellence in Canadian Literature of the Fantastic for short fiction in 2020 for the short story, “The Fourth Trimester is the Strangest” and the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award in 2021 for “An Important Failure.”
Her longer works include her first novel, The Paradise Engine (2013, NeWest Press). In 2022, Undertow Publications will publish her First World War science fiction novella, The Talosite, and Stelliform Press will publish her climate change novella, Arboreality, which explores more of the world she first described in “An Important Failure.”
You can find her online at whereishere.ca.
